HOW POSTURE CAN AFFECT YOUR SHOULDER
|
Ever notice shoulder pain when reaching overhead or lying on one side? Your posture might be to blame. Poor alignment is a common cause of shoulder pain or even impingement, a condition that develops when the rotator cuff tendons become compressed under the shoulder bone, leading to discomfort with everyday movements. Speak with a physical therapist to learn more about whether your posture may be influencing your pain.

A stroke, previously known as a cerebrovascular accident occurs when blood flow to the brain is interrupted, either by a blockage in a blood vessel (ischemic stroke) or bleeding from a vessel (hemorrhagic stroke). This restricts oxygen and vital nutrients from reaching brain tissue. A stroke is a medical emergency that can cause physical and cognitive impairments, often requiring rehabilitation. If you’ve experienced a stroke, rehabilitation can make a meaningful difference.
